
System Administrator

The system administrator keeps the brigade's server and network infrastructure running: administers Windows and Linux servers, virtual machines and secure communication channels, sets up workstations for personnel and restores data from backups. This is rear-area, computer-based work with responsibility for the uninterrupted operation of services the rest of the unit relies on.
Responsibilities
- administering and monitoring Windows and Linux servers;
- configuring secure VPN connections, routers and firewalls;
- keeping virtual machines, NAS storage and local services running;
- backing up and restoring the unit's data;
- deploying and administering personnel workstations, both desktops and laptops;
- diagnosing and fixing hardware and software faults.
Requirements
- hands-on experience as a system administrator;
- knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, Debian) and Windows Server;
- experience with VMware, Hyper-V or Proxmox virtualization;
- understanding of how to build a secure network infrastructure;
- experience configuring MikroTik or Ubiquiti routers and firewalls is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- service in the rear, away from the combat zone;
- housing, meals, uniform and equipment provided;
- partial remote work is possible by agreement with the command;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
