
Metalworking Process Engineer

The metalworking process engineer develops and supports machining processes at the brigade's production site: selects tools, cutting modes and fixtures, takes part in setting up machines and trialling the first part, and eliminates deviations. The work is done in close cooperation with design engineers, programmers and CNC machine operators.
Responsibilities
- developing, implementing and supporting machining processes;
- selecting tools, cutting modes, fixtures and tooling;
- taking part in machine setup and first-part trials;
- eliminating process deviations during part manufacturing;
- calculating material consumption rates and labour standards;
- working with design engineers, programmers and CNC machine operators;
- optimising processes to reduce cost and increase productivity.
Requirements
- experience as a process engineer in CNC machining;
- confident reading of drawings, knowledge of tolerance and fit systems;
- understanding of CNC programming principles;
- knowledge of machining technologies and metal properties;
- experience selecting tools and machining modes for specific materials.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- service at a distance from the front line;
- housing provided;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- 15 days of leave every six months.
