Head of Cryptographic Information Protection Group

The head of the cryptographic information protection group is responsible for keys, encryption equipment and secure communication channels of the unit, from issuing and replacing keys to destroying them. Leads the group and monitors compliance with rules for handling cryptographic equipment and classified documents.
Responsibilities
- organizing the creation, accounting, issuing and replacement of cryptographic keys, passwords and certificates;
- ensuring safe transport and delivery of keys to subordinate units;
- immediately withdrawing keys from use and guaranteeing their destruction when they expire, ciphers change or there is a threat of capture;
- monitoring encryption equipment, VPN tunnels and secure communication channels;
- controlling compliance with rules for admitting personnel to work with cryptographic equipment and classified documents;
- drawing up an evacuation plan and an emergency destruction protocol for cryptographic equipment and documents;
- reporting to higher command and authorized state bodies on the state of cryptographic protection.
Requirements
- knowledge of how encryption equipment and VPN tunnels work;
- skills in accounting for, issuing and destroying cryptographic keys, passwords and certificates;
- ability to work with classified documents and cryptographic protection equipment;
- readiness to work at brigade command posts;
- education in cybersecurity, information protection, telecommunications or radio engineering, or a military department or institute, is an advantage.
Conditions
- military service under contract or by mobilization; serving personnel can transfer;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- supply of food and clothing;
- annual leave and social guarantees established by law.
