Drone Technician
Non-Combat Roles50 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The drone technician returns multirotor drones that come back from missions with damage to service: finds the cause of the fault, replaces components, updates firmware and checks the aircraft before handing it to the crew. The work is done in a brigade workshop and combines repair with improving the aircraft, so the technician's own engineering ideas are expected.
Responsibilities
- repair and maintenance of multirotor drones;
- diagnosing faults and finding ways to fix them;
- hardware upgrades of drones and replacement of components;
- updating and configuring firmware, software upgrades of the aircraft;
- developing and introducing improvements to unmanned systems;
- checking aircraft after repair and preparing them for handover to the crews.
Requirements
- basic knowledge of how multirotor drones are built;
- soldering skills for small electronics and power connectors;
- knowledge of flight controllers and autopilots, in particular ArduPilot;
- basic skills with hand tools and fasteners;
- technical education or experience in technical work;
- systematic thinking and a responsible attitude to equipment.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 50,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave plus additional leave;
- benefits, insurance and free medical care under the law.
