The head of the group leads internal investigations in the brigade: collects evidence, establishes the causes and conditions of offenses and prepares conclusions on which the command bases its decisions. The work is document-based, involves liaison with law enforcement bodies and depends on accurate facts and sound legal reasoning.
Responsibilities
- conducting internal investigations and collecting the evidence needed to establish the facts of violations;
- establishing the causes and conditions that contributed to a disciplinary offense or other violation of the law;
- drawing up objective, legally sound conclusions on investigation results for the command's decisions;
- liaising with law enforcement bodies, the military prosecutor's office and other authorized bodies;
- preparing reports and keeping records;
- analyzing the group's results to prevent similar incidents.
Requirements
- higher education in law (bachelor's, specialist or master's degree);
- ability to analyze not only the fact of an offense but also the conditions and causes that contributed to it;
- competent business writing and preparation of analytical notes, reports and records for law enforcement bodies and courts;
- ability to handle conflict situations objectively and to communicate with personnel and the command;
- experience in law enforcement, human rights protection or investigative work of 1 year or more is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization for the duration of martial law; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- provision of food and clothing;
- service members receive medical support;
- right to annual paid leave and social guarantees provided by law.
