Military Pay Accountant

The military pay accountant is responsible for calculating payments to service members correctly: checks source documents, keeps individual pay accounts and prepares the statements and lists used for payment. The work is document-based and calls for knowledge of regulations and accurate calculations.
Responsibilities
- checking the source documents submitted for calculating military pay for correct execution and compliance with regulations;
- maintaining individual pay account cards of service members on the basis of source documents;
- making the relevant entries based on the unit's staffing table, pay certificates and extracts from the commander's orders;
- preparing payroll statements for monthly military pay;
- preparing statements for one-time payments;
- preparing lists for crediting pay to service members' bank cards;
- preparing lists of alimony withheld from service members.
Requirements
- higher education in accounting, finance or economics;
- ability to work with accounting software and spreadsheets;
- confident use of a PC and office equipment;
- knowledge of legislation and regulations on military pay and taxation;
- ability to work in a team and complete assigned tasks on time.
Conditions
- recruitment under contract or through mobilization; transfer is open to current service members;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- medical care provided;
- paid leave once a year;
- social guarantees provided by law.
