A Driver for a UAS crew is a service member who ensures the crew’s mobility and the timely transport of personnel and equipment needed to carry out missions. The role includes driving in field conditions, navigating on the ground, selecting safe routes, and keeping the assigned vehicle in proper working order.
Responsibilities
- transport personnel, equipment, and mission cargo required by the crew;
- ensure the vehicle is available on time for tasking;
- plan routes and navigate on the ground, using alternative routes when needed;
- operate the vehicle in challenging road and field conditions;
- keep the assigned vehicle in working condition and perform basic daily upkeep (fuel, fluids, tires, lights);
- document and report faults and coordinate maintenance/repairs through standard procedures;
- comply with traffic rules and transportation safety requirements;
- work as part of a team and follow orders while supporting mission execution.
Requirements
- valid driving license categories B and C;
- confident driving skills and solid knowledge of traffic rules;
- navigation skills and ability to use navigation systems;
- basic vehicle mechanics knowledge for day-to-day operation;
- discipline, responsibility, and attention to safety;
- ability to work effectively in a team;
- medical fitness for military service;
- readiness to operate in field conditions, including in an active combat environment.
Conditions
- mobilization for the period of martial law or contract-based service;
- assignment within a crew structure;
- provision of necessary equipment and gear;
- pay: UAH 120,000/month while assigned to combat tasks.
