The cook prepares food for the unit's entire personnel: soups and main courses, laying in ingredients according to set norms and the menu, portioning and serving. The work takes place both in a permanent mess hall and in field conditions, so the position calls for handling large volumes, following sanitary rules and keeping track of food stocks and kitchen equipment.
Responsibilities
- cooking soups and main courses for the whole unit;
- using ingredients according to set norms and the menu;
- portioning and serving prepared meals;
- following sanitary and hygiene rules in the kitchen and mess hall;
- looking after kitchen equipment and utensils;
- monitoring storage conditions and shelf life of food.
Requirements
- experience as a cook in catering establishments;
- knowledge of large-volume cooking techniques;
- compliance with sanitary rules and personal hygiene;
- stamina and the ability to work to a demanding schedule;
- organisation and tidiness at the workplace.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees;
- psychological support within the unit.
