The combat vehicle driver delivers the drone crew and cargo to positions and brings them back, including at night and off-road. Checks the vehicle before every trip, fixes minor faults on the spot, keeps to the assigned route and, when needed, gets the vehicle out of the danger zone. Acts on the commander's orders as part of a crew in a State Border Guard Service unit.
Responsibilities
- driving the combat vehicle in varied road and combat conditions;
- moving the crew quickly and safely within the combat zone;
- checking the vehicle's technical condition before and after every trip;
- fixing minor faults on the spot without outside help;
- navigating the terrain and following the assigned route;
- carrying out the commander's orders during missions.
Requirements
- driving licence for categories B and C;
- knowledge of vehicle mechanics and design, minor repair skills;
- ability to use navigation systems and find the way on the ground;
- accident-free driving experience;
- good physical endurance.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine; those already serving may transfer;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- accommodation and meals during enlistment paperwork and throughout service;
- the unit arranges and covers the candidate's travel to the unit;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
