Tactical Situation Plotter
Combat Roles20 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The tactical situation plotter maintains the graphic picture of the battlefield for the unit commander. Using reports from subunits and reconnaissance data, the plotter marks friendly and hostile positions on the situation board with standard tactical symbols, updates it in real time and hands it over to the next shift. The work is shift-based and demands attention and speed.
Responsibilities
- plotting the position, movement and status of friendly forces on the situation board;
- updating the situation in real time based on reports from subunits;
- plotting hostile positions, forces and assets based on reconnaissance data;
- tracking and updating information on the directions of hostile activity;
- using standardised tactical symbols and abbreviations;
- handing over the situation at shift change and keeping working records.
Requirements
- knowledge of topographic maps and the ability to quickly get oriented on the terrain;
- navigation by coordinates and landmarks;
- ability to work with equipment and computer software;
- attentiveness and the ability to handle large volumes of information;
- stress resilience and readiness to work in shifts;
- readiness to carry out tasks in areas of active hostilities.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already in military service;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- housing and meals, full material support;
- travel to the unit's location is arranged;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
