Tactical Medicine Instructor

The tactical medicine instructor teaches soldiers to give first aid on the battlefield before medics arrive. Runs theory and hands-on classes to current standards using training equipment, tests the skills learned and watches over safety during exercises. The quality of this training determines whether a wounded soldier survives the first minutes.
Responsibilities
- running theory classes in tactical medicine to the current standard;
- running practical classes with training equipment;
- teaching the principles of first aid on the battlefield;
- assessing and monitoring trainees' knowledge and skills;
- overseeing safety measures during classes;
- taking part in other personnel training activities.
Requirements
- military service experience, preferably as a platoon or company combat medic;
- practical skills in battlefield first aid;
- ability to organise and run classes with a group;
- responsibility, communication skills and teamwork;
- desire to keep improving in the field;
- knowledge of military medical standards and protocols is an advantage;
- an instructor's certificate is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave of 30 calendar days and up to 10 additional days for family reasons;
- support from the unit's psychologists when needed.
