Drone Mechanic
Combat Roles50 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The drone mechanic prepares unmanned aerial vehicles for use and brings damaged aircraft back into service: runs pre-flight checks of assemblies, finds faults after flights, replaces parts and sets the aircraft up again after repair. Within the unmanned systems center the work takes place both in the workshop and in the field alongside the crews.
Responsibilities
- preparing unmanned aerial vehicles for use and fitting their payloads;
- pre-flight preparation and checks of assemblies before take-off;
- repairing drone assemblies and parts in the workshop and in the field;
- diagnosing faults after flights and fixing the defects found;
- assembling and setting up aircraft after parts are replaced;
- keeping records of spare parts, consumables and tools.
Requirements
- experience repairing, setting up and maintaining equipment;
- skills in working with electrical equipment and hand tools;
- willingness to learn and master new types of aircraft;
- discipline, attentiveness and caution at work;
- technical education is an advantage;
- prior service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 50,000 to UAH 120,000;
- work in the workshop and in the field; uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- insurance and free medical care;
- annual paid leave plus 10 days of additional leave for family reasons;
- professional development in the specialty.
