The security platoon drone operator keeps watch from the air over the approaches to facilities, patrol routes and positions: launches the assigned aircraft, flies it and passes what it sees to the squad leader. Works within a security squad of the unmanned systems center, maintains the aircraft, batteries and spare parts personally and keeps them ready for flight.
Responsibilities
- launching, flying and landing the assigned unmanned aerial vehicles;
- aerial reconnaissance and observation of designated areas;
- supporting the security of facilities, patrol routes and positions;
- passing reconnaissance data to the squad leader;
- maintenance and minor repair of drone equipment;
- storing aircraft, batteries and spare parts and keeping records of their use.
Requirements
- experience with drones and understanding of flight modes;
- basic technical skills for maintaining the aircraft;
- attentiveness during observation and when passing on data;
- readiness to serve as part of a squad and operate in the field;
- resilience under stress, persistence and adaptability.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 70,000 to UAH 100,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, plus insurance;
- free medical care and statutory benefits;
- annual paid leave plus 10 days of additional leave for family reasons.
