The security platoon machine gunner mans posts and firing positions that protect the location of an unmanned systems center and returns aimed fire when the guarded site is threatened. Keeps the machine gun and ammunition ready for use, observes concealment on the position and acts in coordination with the guard detail to cover the unit's actions.
Responsibilities
- taking up the assigned place at a post or firing position;
- returning aimed fire when the guarded site is threatened;
- keeping the machine gun and ammunition ready for use;
- cleaning, servicing and checking the weapon;
- safeguarding ammunition, gear and maintenance kit;
- observing concealment and survivability measures on the position;
- covering the unit's actions and supporting fellow guards.
Requirements
- small arms handling skills;
- previous military service experience;
- physical endurance and readiness for guard duty shifts;
- composure under stress, persistence and adaptability.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 70,000 to UAH 100,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, plus insurance and free medical care;
- annual paid leave plus additional leave for family reasons;
- benefits and statutory social guarantees.
