A Company First Sergeant supports day-to-day unit operations, training, and discipline. The role coordinates the work of junior sergeants, tracks equipment readiness, and helps ensure the commander’s decisions are implemented across the unit.
Responsibilities
- plan and conduct training sessions and drills to maintain unit readiness;
- monitor the condition and availability of weapons, equipment, and ammunition;
- understand current tasks and ensure the commander’s decisions are implemented within the unit;
- maintain discipline, order, and team morale;
- supervise duty rosters and service schedules.
Requirements
- knowledge of basic unit management and service organization principles;
- leadership skills and ability to motivate and organize personnel;
- confident computer use and basic office software skills;
- experience with inventory or equipment accounting will be an advantage;
- strong people-management and communication skills;
- responsibility and discipline.
Conditions
- military service under contract or within a mobilization framework;
- transfer options for currently serving personnel subject to command approval;
- provision of required equipment and service gear;
- training and preparation before starting duties in the role;
- annual leave in line with Ukrainian law;
- service within an unmanned systems unit.
