The metrology technician is responsible for verifying, calibrating, and maintaining measurement equipment used in the unit’s operations. The role involves ensuring measurement accuracy, keeping records of instruments, and supporting the maintenance of measuring devices.
Responsibilities
- perform calibration, verification, and maintenance of measuring instruments;
- monitor measurement accuracy and equipment condition;
- maintain records of measuring devices and related documentation;
- ensure equipment compliance with established technical standards;
- prepare schedules for inspection and maintenance of instruments;
- assist in testing and adjustment of measurement equipment.
Requirements
- knowledge of basic technical standards related to measurements;
- understanding of how measuring instruments operate;
- experience with calibration, adjustment, or maintenance of measuring equipment is an advantage;
- ability to read technical and electrical diagrams;
- confident computer skills and ability to work with documentation software;
- attention to detail, responsibility, and organizational skills.
Conditions
- military service under mobilization or contract;
- possibility of transfer for currently serving personnel subject to approval;
