The company medic is responsible for the medical care of the company's personnel: provides first aid to the wounded, prepares them for evacuation between medical points and records what was done. The work takes place in task areas, in constant coordination with the brigade's medics and unit commanders, and calls for fast and precise action.
Responsibilities
- providing first aid to wounded members of the company;
- stopping bleeding, applying dressings and immobilizing casualties;
- carrying out resuscitation when needed;
- evacuating the wounded between medical points and evacuation points;
- recording data on casualties' condition and the medical care provided;
- keeping the medical point clean and in sanitary condition;
- coordinating with the brigade's medical staff and unit commanders.
Requirements
- diploma from a medical school: doctor, paramedic or nurse;
- knowledge of the basics of military medicine and medical record-keeping;
- ability to use medical equipment in extreme conditions;
- physical fitness and the ability to sustain prolonged exertion;
- responsibility, resilience under pressure and teamwork;
- experience in the medical field is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees;
- support during enlistment paperwork and settling into the unit.
