A combat medic is responsible for providing first aid and medical assistance to personnel during task execution, as well as supporting the medical readiness of the unit. The role includes providing care in field conditions, assisting with the evacuation of wounded personnel, and coordinating with other medical services.
The position requires attentiveness, composure, discipline, and the ability to act according to established protocols under increased workload.
Responsibilities
- providing first aid and medical assistance to personnel during task execution;
- stabilizing wounded personnel and preparing them for medical evacuation;
- assisting in and accompanying the evacuation of wounded personnel;
- monitoring and replenishing individual and group medical supplies;
- complying with established medical protocols and safety requirements;
- maintaining basic medical records within the scope of duties.
Requirements
- basic medical training or completion of relevant tactical medicine training;
- knowledge and understanding of first aid procedures;
- fitness for service based on health condition;
- attentiveness, responsibility, and discipline;
- ability to work as part of a team;
- willingness to learn and improve practical skills.
Conditions
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract-based service;
- financial compensation from 20,000 to 120,000 UAH depending on tasks and place of service;
- service on a rotational basis;
- full material support;
- medical support and social guarantees in accordance with current legislation.
