The paramedic provides medical support to the unit's personnel: gives pre-hospital care, examines and triages the wounded, prepares them for evacuation, monitors medical supplies and first-aid kits and keeps medical records. The work takes place both in the field and at fixed facilities, alongside units on missions, and calls for composure in a combat environment.
Responsibilities
- organizing and providing pre-hospital medical care;
- examining and triaging the wounded and preparing them for evacuation;
- organizing medical support for the unit's personnel;
- monitoring and replenishing medical supplies and first-aid kits;
- keeping medical records of the sick and wounded;
- taking part in preventive measures against disease.
Requirements
- a medical qualification or practical experience as a paramedic;
- skills in treating injuries in field conditions;
- ability to work calmly under combat conditions;
- accuracy in keeping medical records.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees under Ukrainian law.
