
Paramedic (Hospital Ward)
The paramedic of the hospital ward treats the wounded at different stages, from the stabilization point to evacuation: assesses the casualty's condition, stops bleeding, supports breathing, carries out stabilization measures and prepares the person for transport. The work is done within the medical company, often in conditions where decisions have to be made quickly.
Responsibilities
- providing first aid in combat conditions;
- assessing casualties' condition and initial diagnosis;
- stopping bleeding, supporting breathing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
- performing blood transfusions and other stabilization measures;
- preparing the wounded for transport and escorting them;
- keeping medical equipment in constant readiness;
- working at the stabilization point, in the medical company and on evacuation.
Requirements
- medical education as a nurse or paramedic;
- tactical medicine skills and knowledge of TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) protocols;
- experience working in high-risk conditions or knowledge of emergency medicine;
- resilience under stress, physical endurance and quick decision-making;
- responsibility and attention to detail;
- military experience is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
