The physician (internist, anesthesiologist, intensive care specialist or surgeon) provides medical care to unit personnel within their specialty: examines and treats service members, gives emergency care to the wounded and stabilizes them before evacuation. Work is at the medical station of an unmanned systems brigade and in the field, as part of a medical team.
Responsibilities
- examining, assessing and treating service members within the physician's specialty;
- providing emergency care to the wounded and stabilizing their condition before evacuation;
- taking part in medical triage and setting the order of evacuation;
- monitoring sanitary and hygiene conditions in the unit and preventing disease;
- keeping medical records and reports;
- training junior medical staff in pre-hospital care.
Requirements
- higher medical degree in the relevant specialty;
- valid specialist physician certificate;
- hands-on clinical experience in the chosen specialty;
- knowledge of trauma and blood loss treatment protocols;
- readiness to work in the field with limited resources;
- resilience under stress and ability to work as part of a medical team.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
