The signal company equipment operator keeps information flowing between command posts and combat units of an unmanned systems brigade: configures the equipment, monitors channel quality and fixes faults. The work involves round-the-clock duty shifts at the communications station, in field conditions, with encrypted communications and strict handling of classified information.
Responsibilities
- configuring and maintaining communication equipment;
- ensuring uninterrupted communication between command posts and units;
- monitoring communication quality, diagnosing and fixing faults;
- keeping communication channels running in the field and during combat operations;
- encrypting communications and protecting the confidentiality of information;
- supporting and administering network equipment;
- coordinating with neighbouring units to keep communication stable.
Requirements
- understanding of how communication and network equipment works;
- attentiveness when working with call signs and official documents;
- readiness for round-the-clock duty shifts at the communications station;
- discipline and strict handling of classified information.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided in full;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees under Ukrainian law.
