The paramedic is responsible for pre-hospital care in a subunit of an unmanned systems brigade: examines personnel, treats the wounded and sick on the spot and accompanies evacuation to a medical facility. Keeps records of medical supplies and documentation and teaches service members first aid skills. Works in the area where combat tasks are carried out.
Responsibilities
- providing pre-hospital care to the wounded and sick;
- medical support for personnel during missions;
- accompanying the wounded during evacuation to a medical facility;
- replenishing and keeping records of medical supplies and first aid kits;
- maintaining medical records and a log of patient visits;
- teaching first aid skills to service members.
Requirements
- medical education in the field or documented experience in medical practice;
- confident first aid and pre-hospital care skills;
- readiness to work in the area where combat tasks are carried out;
- responsibility for keeping records and safeguarding medical supplies;
- experience in tactical medicine is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization for the duration of martial law; transfer for those already serving, with the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- housing, meals, uniform and equipment provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
