Head Cook

The head cook organizes meals for the regiment's personnel: runs the kitchen and mess hall, manages the assistant cooks and the daily kitchen detail, cooks according to standard recipe cards, keeps food stock records and answers for the sanitary state of the premises. It is daily work with large volumes of food and professional equipment within the support service.
Responsibilities
- keeping the kitchen and mess hall running without interruption;
- managing the assistant cooks and the daily kitchen detail;
- cooking soups, main courses and baked goods according to standard recipe cards;
- helping draw up the menu plan and keeping food stock records;
- checking expiry dates and storage conditions of food;
- enforcing sanitary rules and the cleanliness of equipment and utensils.
Requirements
- culinary training or experience working as a cook;
- experience in catering establishments, canteens or a military kitchen;
- knowledge of the rules for preparing and heat-treating food;
- ability to handle large volumes of ingredients and professional equipment;
- tidiness, responsibility and the ability to organize a team's work.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization for the duration of martial law; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, meals and medical care provided;
- guaranteed annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
