An FPV pilot performs combat and reconnaissance tasks as part of a unit using FPV-type unmanned aerial vehicles. The role involves employing drones to engage targets, conduct observation, and obtain information in the interests of the unit.
The position involves working with technical equipment in field conditions, following established procedures, and coordinating with other servicemembers during task execution.
Responsibilities
- performing combat and reconnaissance tasks using FPV drones;
- preparing the unmanned system for use (checking technical condition, charging batteries, configuring communication);
- employing unmanned aerial systems during task execution as part of a unit;
- operating independently or as part of a UAV crew;
- monitoring the drone’s flight and ensuring its safe completion;
- participating in observation, reconnaissance, and coordination of unit actions;
- keeping records of completed flights and documenting task results;
- ensuring the preservation and operational readiness of the aerial system in field conditions.
Requirements
- basic technical training or practical skills in working with unmanned aerial systems;
- experience with FPV drones or other types of UAVs will be an advantage;
- ability to navigate terrain and work with maps;
- basic computer skills;
- attentiveness, responsibility, and discipline;
- ability to work in field conditions;
- willingness to learn and improve technical skills;
- fitness for service based on health condition.
Conditions
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract-based service;
- possibility of transfer from other military units with the consent of the direct commander;
- financial compensation from 50,000 to 120,000 UAH depending on tasks and place of service;
