Antenna Rigger

The antenna rigger installs what the brigade's communications depend on: mounts antennas and runs cables on masts and structures over 30 meters high, and checks fastenings and guy wires before and after each job. Works as part of a repair and maintenance group and helps with ground-level installations between height jobs. Physical work using climbing safety gear.
Responsibilities
- mounting antennas on structures over 30 meters high;
- running and securing cables on tall structures;
- checking the reliability of fastenings, masts and guy wires before and after work;
- taking part in the work of equipment repair and maintenance groups;
- helping with ground-level installations when there is no height work;
- following safety rules and looking after climbing safety gear.
Requirements
- no fear of heights and the physical stamina for work at height;
- basic skills with power tools;
- experience in industrial climbing, hiking or sport mountaineering is an advantage;
- understanding of household-level electrical wiring and a category B driving license are an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or mobilization for the duration of martial law; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 70,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave of 30 days;
- service away from the line of contact, well back from the front.
