Explosive Ordnance Specialist

The explosive ordnance specialist is responsible for the safe handling of munitions and initiating devices in the brigade: oversees their storage and transport, prepares munitions for drones and trains personnel in mine safety and engineering reconnaissance. The work demands strict discipline, precision and readiness to carry out pyrotechnic tasks in the combat zone.
Responsibilities
- ensuring safety during the storage and transport of explosive items;
- ensuring safe handling of munitions and initiating devices;
- hands-on help for crews in preparing and using munitions;
- training personnel in the basics of mine safety and engineering reconnaissance;
- teaching how to identify explosive items;
- monitoring compliance with safety rules at munitions storage sites.
Requirements
- discipline and strict adherence to safety procedures;
- psychological resilience and the ability to make sound decisions;
- readiness to carry out pyrotechnic tasks in the combat zone;
- attention to detail and responsibility;
- willingness to learn and improve in the field of pyrotechnics;
- experience handling explosives and munitions is an advantage;
- humanitarian demining or combat experience is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- housing and meals provided;
