The signal platoon senior sergeant leads the platoon's personnel and is responsible for deploying the unit's communications equipment and keeping it running without interruption. The role combines the operational side, setting up networks and checking they work, with training subordinates, assigning tasks, keeping records of signal equipment and overseeing its repair.
Responsibilities
- leading the platoon's personnel, training them and maintaining combat readiness;
- organizing the operation of communications equipment in the unit;
- setting up communication networks and checking that they work;
- assigning tasks to subordinates and monitoring their completion;
- keeping records of signal equipment and its movement;
- overseeing maintenance and timely repair of equipment.
Requirements
- familiarity with military communications;
- knowledge of military record-keeping and document handling procedures;
- leadership, communication skills and initiative;
- physical stamina, including for carrying heavy equipment.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- personal protective equipment, uniform, equipment and meals provided;
