Design Engineer

The design engineer develops metal and plastic parts for the in-house production facility of an unmanned systems brigade: from gathering initial requirements to the 3D model and the full set of drawings. This is computer-based work in CAD software, in close cooperation with process engineers and machine operators, with responsibility for the finished part matching the drawing.
Responsibilities
- designing metal and plastic parts and assemblies;
- creating 3D models and design documentation for each product;
- gathering input data and technical requirements needed for design;
- resolving technical issues that arise during manufacturing;
- sourcing and ordering materials and tooling for production;
- checking manufactured parts against the design documentation.
Requirements
- experience in designing machines and mechanisms;
- confident use of CAD and CAM software, knowledge of SolidWorks is an advantage;
- understanding of turning, milling and abrasive machining of parts;
- knowledge of the properties of metals and plastics;
- basic understanding of strength calculations for parts and assemblies.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- service away from the front line, housing provided;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- 15 days of leave every six months.
