
CNC Laser Tube Cutting Operator

The CNC laser tube cutting operator produces parts from tubes and profiles on a computer-controlled machine: positions and clamps the workpiece in the chucks, loads the program, selects cutting parameters and monitors the cut. The work is done in shifts at the production facility of an unmanned systems brigade, with responsibility for part quality and records of usable offcuts.
Responsibilities
- operating a computer-controlled laser tube cutting machine;
- preparing the equipment, starting and monitoring the cutting process;
- loading control programs and selecting cutting parameters;
- placing, positioning and clamping tubes and profiles in the chucks;
- checking the condition of nozzles, protective glass, the cutting head and process gases;
- sorting, counting, marking and quality checking of finished parts;
- economical use of tubes and keeping records of usable offcuts.
Requirements
- experience as, or willingness to become, a CNC laser tube cutting machine operator;
- understanding of how laser tube cutting machines work;
- ability to read drawings, technical documentation and nesting layouts;
- knowledge of tube properties and how they behave during cutting;
- ability to work with measuring tools and small parts;
- readiness to work in shifts.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- service away from the front line, housing provided;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- 15 days of leave every six months.
