
CNC Lathe Operator

The CNC lathe operator produces parts for unmanned systems in the brigade's workshop using ready-made control programs. Sets up workpieces and tooling, monitors tool wear, checks finished parts against drawings and carries out daily machine maintenance. The work follows a shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- machining parts on a CNC lathe according to set control programs;
- installing, referencing and adjusting cutting tools;
- monitoring tool wear and the condition of cutters and inserts;
- loading and unloading workpieces before and after machining;
- quality control and record-keeping of finished parts against technical documentation;
- daily and scheduled machine maintenance;
- keeping the workstation tidy and following occupational safety rules.
Requirements
- experience operating a CNC lathe, or readiness to learn the trade;
- ability to read technical drawings and process documentation;
- skills with measuring tools (calipers, micrometer);
- confident computer use;
- readiness to work on a shift schedule;
- knowledge of CAD/CAM software, G-code or the Sinumerik 808D control system is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with their commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- rear-area service, outside the combat zone;
- housing, meals, uniform and equipment provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
