FPV Interceptor Drone Pilot
Combat Roles20 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The FPV interceptor drone pilot protects the airspace above the unit's positions: guides a first-person-view drone onto a hostile strike drone and destroys it in the air, by day and by night. Works as part of a crew at a distance from the front line, and personally prepares and tunes the drone and control equipment before every flight.
Responsibilities
- flying FPV drones to intercept aerial targets;
- engaging hostile strike drones by day and by night;
- preparing the drone and control equipment for flight;
- tuning and maintaining the interceptor drones;
- working as part of a crew at a distance from the front line.
Requirements
- well-developed manual dexterity and fast reactions;
- ability to stay focused on a task for extended periods;
- readiness for field conditions;
- a background in video gaming and experience with a soldering iron are an advantage;
- certificates from FPV pilot courses (Kill House, Arm Drone and similar) are an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with their commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 120,000;
- personal protective equipment and gear provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees;
