Metal Fitter

The metal fitter works at the brigade's production site: prepares blanks for welding, assembles metal structures from drawings and operates band saws, drilling machines and presses. The work runs in shifts, relies on measuring tools and technical documentation, and the accuracy of every part is checked at each stage.
Responsibilities
- preparing blanks for welding: cutting, grinding, marking out and fitting;
- cleaning weld seams and checking part geometry after welding;
- bench work and assembly of structures from drawings and diagrams;
- operating band saw and drilling machines;
- operating hydraulic and crank presses in line with safety rules;
- keeping records and checking the quality of finished parts against technical documentation;
- keeping the workplace in order and following occupational safety rules.
Requirements
- experience as a fitter in a production environment;
- ability to read technical drawings and assembly diagrams;
- skills in operating a drilling machine and a band saw;
- experience with hand-held power tools such as angle grinders, drills and sanders;
- ability to use measuring tools;
- willingness to work in shifts.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- service away from the front line;
- housing provided;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- 15 days of leave every six months.
