Machine Learning Engineer

The machine learning engineer builds models that automatically detect and classify objects in drone video and imagery, and brings them to run on embedded devices. Prepares and labels training data, optimizes models for limited computing resources and integrates finished solutions into the brigade's internal systems. Computer-based work within a development team.
Responsibilities
- developing and training models for analysing drone imagery and video;
- building systems for automatic object detection and classification;
- optimizing models to run on embedded devices with limited resources;
- preparing and labelling training datasets;
- integrating trained models into internal software systems;
- automating data collection, processing and visualization.
Requirements
- experience with Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and OpenCV;
- hands-on skills in computer vision, natural language processing and generative models;
- knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data analytics tools;
- experience optimizing models for limited computing resources;
- ability to read technical documentation in English.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with their commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- rear-area service, away from the combat zone;
- housing, uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- 15 days of paid leave every six months and statutory social guarantees.
