Machine Tool Maintenance Fitter

The machine tool maintenance fitter keeps the brigade's production site running: repairs assemblies and mechanisms of lathes, milling and surface grinding machines, adjusts them and checks their accuracy after every intervention. The work includes both scheduled and emergency repairs, using equipment manuals, tolerance tables and rigging when machines are moved.
Responsibilities
- repairing assemblies and mechanisms of metalworking machine tools and other equipment;
- adjusting and setting up lathes, milling and surface grinding machines;
- preventive maintenance of machine tools according to a set schedule;
- checking equipment accuracy after repairs;
- rigging work when moving and installing machine tools;
- keeping the workplace clean and in order.
Requirements
- experience repairing metalworking machine tools;
- knowledge of bench fitting and material properties;
- ability to read assembly drawings and work with machine tool manuals;
- understanding of tolerances and fits, accuracy grades and surface roughness parameters;
- basic knowledge of machine tool electrics and rigging;
- attentiveness, accuracy and patience.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's approval;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- service in the rear, away from the combat zone;
- housing and meals provided;
- uniform, equipment and supplies provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
