Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic

The mechanic keeps the unit's motor vehicles in working order: services, diagnoses and repairs them and prepares them for operation in the field. The job calls for technical precision, experience with different types of vehicles and strict adherence to safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- servicing and diagnostics of motor vehicles;
- routine and scheduled repair of vehicles;
- identifying faults and fixing technical problems;
- checking the technical condition of vehicles before departure and after return;
- preparing vehicles for operation in field conditions;
- keeping technical records and repair reports;
- complying with technical and fire safety requirements.
Requirements
- at least 1 year of experience as a mechanic, fitter or vehicle service station technician;
- knowledge of vehicle design and main systems: engine, transmission, electrical system, hydraulics;
- ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment;
- responsibility, attention to detail, technical competence;
- experience with military or specialized vehicles is an advantage;
- welding, electrical or hydraulics skills are an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization for the duration of martial law; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 50,000;
- uniform and equipment provided;
- medical care and free treatment;
- 15 days of leave every six months; additional leave for family circumstances where there are legal grounds.
