Vehicle Mechanic

The vehicle mechanic keeps the motor vehicles of an unmanned systems brigade running, the ones that carry crews and equipment: diagnoses faults, repairs and replaces assemblies and units, does metalwork and fitting jobs. Also orders spare parts and tools and keeps records of completed repairs, so how quickly the units can get moving depends on this work.
Responsibilities
- diagnosing vehicles and identifying faults, including with computer diagnostics;
- routine and major repairs of vehicles;
- repairing and replacing assemblies and units;
- metalwork and fitting jobs;
- ordering spare parts and tools and keeping track of stock;
- keeping records of completed repair work.
Requirements
- experience as a motor mechanic;
- ability to work with diagnostic equipment and tools;
- computer vehicle diagnostics skills;
- responsibility and discipline;
- experience repairing cars, pickups and minibuses is an advantage;
- a category B, C and D driving licence is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees;
- access to the unit's psychologists.
