Concrete Worker (Formwork and Rebar)

The concrete worker builds the cast-in-place part of the shelters and positions that protect the brigade's personnel: ties the rebar cage, sets up the formwork, mixes and places the concrete and cures it until it reaches strength. Work as part of a construction team, outdoors and in any weather, requiring physical stamina and a sound knowledge of the process.
Responsibilities
- concrete work during the construction of engineering fortifications;
- tying and installing rebar cages;
- setting up and stripping formwork for pouring structures;
- preparing concrete mixes of the required grade and consistency;
- placing and compacting the concrete mix with a vibrator;
- curing the concrete until it reaches strength and checking surface quality.
Requirements
- vocational training or practical experience in construction;
- knowledge of concrete work methods, cement properties and grades;
- command of techniques for placing and compacting concrete mixes;
- skills in building formwork and working with rebar cages;
- physical stamina and readiness to work in field conditions.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with their commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, along with statutory benefits;
- annual paid leave, additional leave and statutory social guarantees.
