The supply sergeant is in charge of the unit's storeroom: keeping property safe, issuing it to personnel according to set allowances and reconciling stock balances. Maintains primary accounting records, reports on the movement of materiel and monitors the condition of equipment so that worn items are written off or repaired in time. Equal parts hands-on work and paperwork.
Responsibilities
- organising the accounting of the unit's material assets;
- ensuring proper storage conditions for property in the storeroom;
- issuing property and gear to personnel according to set allowances;
- keeping primary accounting records and reconciling stock balances;
- compiling reports on the movement and availability of materiel;
- monitoring the condition of property, writing off worn items and sending them for repair in time.
Requirements
- vocational or higher education, preferably in logistics or accounting;
- skills in Excel and inventory accounting systems;
- ability to organise storeroom operations and keep error-free records;
- responsibility and accuracy in handling documents.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with their commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 23,000 to UAH 53,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, plus military service benefits;
- annual paid leave, additional leave and statutory social guarantees.
