
Hardware Engineer

The hardware engineer designs electronics for the brigade's unmanned systems: develops digital and analog circuits and printed circuit boards, selects components, debugs prototypes on the bench and prepares files for manufacturing. Works closely with software engineers, for whom the board is the hardware their code runs on.
Responsibilities
- designing digital and analog circuits for the unit's needs;
- developing printed circuit boards in KiCad or other PCB design tools;
- selecting components from datasheets and compiling the bill of materials (BOM);
- debugging prototypes with a multimeter and oscilloscope;
- preparing manufacturing files: Gerber, drill, pick-and-place;
- working with software engineers during development of new boards.
Requirements
- at least a year of experience designing digital or analog circuits;
- confident reading and drawing of schematics, working with component datasheets;
- basic experience in PCB design with KiCad, Altium Designer or DipTrace;
- understanding of power rails, decoupling and pull-up and pull-down resistors;
- ability to debug boards with a multimeter, bench power supply and oscilloscope;
- technical English at intermediate level for reading datasheets;
- experience with mixed-signal circuits, radio links or UAV projects is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
