The support unit cook prepares hot meals for the personnel of an unmanned systems center: cooks soups, main courses and side dishes to standard recipes, portions and serves them on time, checks that ingredients are fresh on receipt and before cooking and is responsible for the hygiene of the kitchen and storage areas. Shift work, cooking for large numbers of people.
Responsibilities
- cooking soups, main courses and side dishes to standard recipes;
- preparing meat, fish and vegetable semi-finished products;
- portioning and serving meals on time;
- checking that ingredients are fresh on receipt and before cooking;
- washing dishes, kitchen utensils and equipment;
- looking after food stocks in the store and temporary storage points.
Requirements
- experience as a cook in catering establishments or in the military;
- knowledge of recipes and rules for heat treatment of food;
- knowledge of storage times and conditions for raw ingredients and cooked food;
- experience cooking and serving meals for large numbers of people;
- basic computer skills: Word and Excel;
- vocational or higher education in catering.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- rear-area service; uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave plus additional leave for family reasons;
- benefits, insurance, free medical care and statutory social guarantees.
