
Vehicle Repair Mechanic

The vehicle repair mechanic keeps the unit's vehicle fleet running: inspects and repairs manual gearboxes, fixes engines and their systems, carries out scheduled maintenance and hands serviceable vehicles back to the unit. This is work in the repair section of the unmanned systems center, and it decides how many vehicles are available for tasks.
Responsibilities
- repairing the unit's motor vehicles;
- inspecting manual gearboxes and defining the scope of restoration work;
- repairing manual gearboxes as the main line of work;
- repairing internal combustion engines and their systems;
- scheduled maintenance of vehicles;
- checking vehicles after repair and handing them back to the unit.
Requirements
- knowledge of how manual gearboxes are built;
- ability to inspect, repair and service manual gearboxes;
- experience of car repair in a similar role;
- category B driving licence;
- skills with hand fitting and measuring tools;
- vocational training as a motor vehicle mechanic is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- work in a repair section; uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- insurance, free medical care and statutory benefits;
- annual paid leave plus 10 days of additional leave for family reasons.
