The head of the medical station is responsible for medical support of the unit and for keeping the station ready to help personnel. Manages junior medical staff and works with higher-level medical units. The role combines medical and managerial work and requires quick decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities
- manage the work of the medical station and organize medical support for combat operations, training and daily activities of the unit;
- provide emergency medical care to personnel and organize medical evacuation;
- carry out medical triage and keep records of the wounded and sick;
- monitor the sanitary and epidemiological condition of units;
- supply the medical station with equipment, medicines and other property;
- organize and oversee the training of junior medical staff;
- keep medical records and reports, and liaise with higher-level medical units and civil healthcare institutions.
Requirements
- higher medical education, qualified as a physician;
- experience as a physician or head of a hospital department, or military service as a medical station physician, medical company commander or senior combat medic;
- knowledge of emergency care, medical triage and organization of medical evacuation;
- knowledge of sanitary supervision and epidemiology, supply management and military medical documentation;
- confident PC and office software skills; experience with eHealth, Medics or Helsi is an advantage;
- management skills, communication skills, analytical thinking and ability to optimize processes;
- stress resistance, decisiveness and a high level of responsibility.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 55,000 to UAH 125,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided; benefits, insurance and free medical treatment;
- service in a headquarters setting; occasional trips to combat areas are possible;
- annual paid leave and 10 additional days of leave for family circumstances;
- professional development.
