The signals specialist keeps stable communications between the subunits of an unmanned systems brigade: sets up and maintains radios and radio links, repairs equipment in the field and protects information in the channels. Data transfer speed and crew safety depend on the reliability of the link, so the work demands technical precision and readiness to work on the front line.
Responsibilities
- ensuring uninterrupted communications between the brigade's subunits;
- setting up and maintaining radios, radio links and other communication equipment;
- routine servicing and repair of communication equipment;
- keeping a reliable link during combat missions on the front line;
- keeping records on the condition and use of communication equipment;
- protecting information in communication channels and following security standards;
- working with other units to improve communications.
Requirements
- vocational or higher education, preferably in telecommunications or electronics;
- knowledge of the basics of radio equipment and communication systems;
- ability to configure and operate radio communication equipment;
- physical fitness and the ability to work in field conditions;
- teamwork and the ability to relay information promptly;
- prior experience as a signals specialist is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's approval;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- material support and social assistance;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees;
- training in a chosen specialty and support from the command in service matters.
