Welder and Fitter
Non-Combat Roles20 000-50 000 UAHTechnical / Engineering
The welder and fitter produces metal assemblies and structures for the brigade's needs: prepares blanks, welds them using MAG and MMA processes, cleans the seams and brings part geometry in line with the drawing. The work takes place at a production site in shifts, follows technical documentation and includes quality checks of every finished part.
Responsibilities
- welding assemblies and structures using MAG and MMA processes to technical requirements;
- preparing blanks for welding: cutting, grinding, marking out and fitting;
- finishing parts after welding, cleaning seams and checking geometry;
- bench work and assembly of structures from drawings;
- operating band saw and drilling machines as well as presses;
- keeping records and checking the quality of finished parts against technical documentation;
- following occupational safety rules and keeping the workplace in order.
Requirements
- hands-on experience as a welder;
- confident command of arc, semi-automatic or TIG welding;
- knowledge of welding technology, joint types and operating modes;
- ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools;
- category B and C driving licence;
- willingness to work in shifts.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- housing and meals provided;
- uniform, equipment and supplies provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees;
- service in the rear, away from the combat zone.
