Lathe Operator

The lathe operator manufactures parts for the brigade's unmanned systems on universal lathes: turns, bores, cuts threads and chamfers according to drawings and technical requirements, working with steel, cast iron and non-ferrous alloys. The work takes place at a production site in shifts, with measuring tools and daily care of the machine.
Responsibilities
- manufacturing and machining parts on 16K20, 1K62 and 16B25PSp universal lathes;
- turning, boring, thread cutting, facing and chamfering;
- machining parts according to drawings and technical requirements;
- working with steel, cast iron and non-ferrous alloys;
- quality control and record-keeping of parts against technical documentation;
- checking the condition of cutters, inserts and other machine tooling;
- daily and scheduled machine maintenance, following occupational safety rules.
Requirements
- experience on universal lathes such as the 16K20 and 16B25PSp;
- confident reading of technical drawings and diagrams;
- use of measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators;
- knowledge of basic metalworking technology and selection of cutting modes;
- willingness to work in shifts;
- CAD/CAM skills and the ability to work with G-code are an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subject to the commander's approval;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- service in the rear, away from the combat zone;
- housing and meals provided;
- uniform, equipment and supplies provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
