A Combat Medic provides immediate lifesaving care to wounded service members on the battlefield, participates in casualty evacuation, ensures the unit is properly equipped with medical supplies, and trains personnel in first aid and combat lifesaver skills.
Responsibilities
- providing first medical aid to wounded personnel on the battlefield;
- participating in the evacuation of wounded and sick service members;
- checking and maintaining the unit’s medical supplies and equipment;
- conducting medical training for unit personnel;
- maintaining required medical documentation.
Requirements
- medical education is an advantage;
- willingness to work in active combat zones;
- prior military experience is an advantage;
- abstinence from alcohol and psychoactive substances;
- ability to work as part of a team;
- motivation to learn and develop.
Conditions
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract-based service;
- possibility of transfer for active service members with commander consent;
- salary from 20,000 to 120,000 UAH depending on duties and duty location;
- guaranteed annual leave plus an additional 10 days for family reasons;
- full social benefits package.
