The deputy battalion commander for psychological support is responsible for the mental well-being of personnel: screens new arrivals, monitors the condition of people across the battalion's units and works with those in crisis. This is an officer position in an unmanned systems brigade battalion that combines one-on-one sessions, preventive work and reporting to the command.
Responsibilities
- conducting psychological screening of newly arrived personnel;
- studying the individual characteristics of the battalion's service members;
- monitoring the psychological condition of personnel in the units;
- identifying people in acute emotional distress and working with them;
- providing psychological support and running preventive measures;
- conducting psychological correction sessions;
- preparing reports on the results of the work.
Requirements
- higher education in psychology or pedagogy;
- communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people;
- resilience and the ability to perform under a heavy workload;
- understanding of the realities of service in a combat unit;
- strict confidentiality when working with personnel.
Conditions
- officer position: service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 26,000 to UAH 126,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave plus additional leave;
- statutory benefits and social guarantees.
