The signals platoon commander runs the telecommunications networks of an unmanned systems brigade: leads the platoon, trains its personnel and organizes the operation and accounting of communications equipment. The work involves monitoring equipment, protecting internal networks from outside interference and restoring communications after outages. This is an officer position.
Responsibilities
- leading the signals platoon and assigning tasks to its personnel;
- training and coordinating the platoon's service members;
- organizing the operation of communications equipment and monitoring its condition;
- ensuring uninterrupted operation of telecommunications networks;
- cyber protection of the unit's internal networks;
- keeping records of communications equipment and ensuring timely maintenance.
Requirements
- professional training in communications;
- experience in a communications specialty;
- leadership, responsibility and discipline;
- readiness to work in an active combat zone;
- an engineering degree is an advantage;
- combat experience is an advantage.
Conditions
- officer position: service under contract or through mobilization; those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine may transfer;
- monthly pay from UAH 23,000 to UAH 126,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and additional leave;
- statutory benefits and social guarantees.
