The vehicle repair platoon commander organises maintenance and repair of the vehicles an unmanned systems brigade relies on to move crews, drones and ammunition. Assigns tasks to the mechanics, keeps track of the quality and timing of repairs, works out what spare parts and tools are needed and keeps records of completed work.
Responsibilities
- leading the platoon and assigning repair tasks to its personnel;
- organising maintenance and repair of the unit's motor vehicles;
- monitoring the quality and timing of repair work;
- determining the need for spare parts, consumables and tools;
- keeping records of completed repairs;
- maintaining order and discipline within the platoon.
Requirements
- knowledge of motor vehicle design and repair methods;
- experience leading a repair crew or workshop;
- ability to plan the work of subordinates and check its execution;
- responsibility and the ability to work to tight deadlines;
- relevant technical education is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 26,000 to UAH 126,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave plus additional leave;
- benefits and statutory social guarantees.
